Just Want Coffee (JWC), The Factory 30 is located inside the industrial area of Mount Austin. You need to drive through an alley and near a big factory you would see the huge iron gates with their signboards. You will be surprised that their bold idea of having a café over an industrial area but soon you will realize how amazing this café is.

Cafe Selatan

Finding for a cheap, nice and quality western or asian food? Cafe Selatan has everything you want! This café is operated by a group of friendly Malays. This café always manage to serve food at a short period of time. Therefore, if you are rushing to have an ambrosial dinner, we strongly believe and recommend that this is the best place for you, other than those fast food restaurants. 

The arrangement and design of the shop is simple, and they split up into two section which you can choose to either sit inside or outside of the shop. You are able to spend you time sitting there and enjoy the cool breeze that gently touches your cheek.

Chatto Supa

Accompanied by the fervour of bubble tea that sweeping across Asia countries, the newly founded brand, Chatto, has entered the market of Johor Bahru recently. The latest store is located at Taman Sutera Utama and it was just opened in the month of August this year. Holding the spirit of trying new things, we cannot wait to have a visit to Chatto. Once we arrived at the main entrance of Chatto Supa, we were impressed by the visual impact of their Japanese style design.

Bloom by Mokmok

People nowadays are living in such busy, stressed and polluted city; either by air or noise. Today we are going to present you a café that will bring to you a scene of serenity, where you can relax and enjoy beautiful flowers.

The name of this cafe is Bloom by Mokmok. This café is strictly halal - no pork no lard.

U Desserts

Finding a place to chill out when you finally have time with your family and friends after a long busy week? U Desserts will be a great place for you. This cafe do have a lot of branch around most corner of Johor Bahru too. This cafe does not only sell desserts but also serves main dish like western food and fried rice with other dishes.

We are going to introduce the Barn81 cafe. The location of this store is inconspicuous, it may not be easy for everyone to find.

Shakespeare sells a range of sweet dessert, unique milkshake, waffles and more!  Shakespeare do provide board games for customers on level 1 while at the same time enjoying their desserts or milkshakes.

 From the outer look of the shop, the design was rather simple yet looks modern. 

BaDa Bing

 In the dog days of summer, which dessert that first come to your mind? The answer is definitely a bowl of shaved ice! At BaDa Bing, you can enjoy shaved ice, Korean and Japanese style meals in one shot. The name of ‘bada bing’ has the meaning of something will happen effortlessly and predictably. However, we feel that the word ‘bing’ is emphasising the specialty, shaved ice, as ‘bing’ means ice in Chinese.

Sugar on top

In the past few months, delicious desserts have become a big part of the current food trend in Johor Bahru. As more and more desert shops spring up in the area, crowds flock towards these shops, being tempted to have a taste of these deserts. Talking of delicious matcha cake, we must not forget SOT. What is SOT? A habitual drunkard? No! SOT actually means Sugar on top. ‘We Are Not Crazy Just SOT’ is the slogan of the cafe. Their unique ideas and craziness have reflected on their food, displaying their uniqueness and courage to be different from others. 

It’s not a joke! This store is also crowded during busy times. 

Anmour Café

Trying to find a place that serves scrumptious Western food after having the same meals over and over again in your university cafeteria or your working place? Anmour Café is the place to go to! Currently having several operating branches located all around JB, this café has become a new favourite among Johoreans. They serve various choices of pasta, steaks and burgers. 

Summer Café

If you look carefully, you will find one hidden café at the corner lot which is a bit hard to notice it. This is Summer Café, it is generally known by the residents staying in Taman Perling.

Dip n dip Chocolate Cafe

If you are a chocolate-loving person, you must not miss this café. Dip n dip! It is a very popular chocolate shop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. To allow customers who visit Johor Bahru to enjoy the finest chocolate, Dip n dip specially bought the best chocolate from Belgium.  

This is the branch that opened in the paradigm mall not long ago.

Roost Repurposed and Recycled Café

This café at first did not successfully caught our attention because the ground floor only seems to have a small counter and the shop does not seems visual appealing. We took a walk down the street, but all the shops seems to be packed, so we decided to enter into Roost café.

While we are ordering, we found out that there was a flight of stairs for customer to walk up. So basically, ground floor was for ordering and you have the option to choose to dine-in.

HAVN Café

It is unbelievable that this café was an ordinary factory located in SME Industrial Park, Kulai, a few years ago. Due to what we mentioned, its indoor area is really larger as compared to the ordinary cafes at shop lot or malls.
