HAVN Café

It is unbelievable that this café was an ordinary factory located in SME Industrial Park, Kulai, a few years ago. Due to what we mentioned, its indoor area is really larger as compared to the ordinary cafes at shop lot or malls.

At the first moment we stepped into the café, we were attracted by its interior design. The second floor of HAVN is designed for modernise business offices. So, the café also acts as the staff’s canteen of the office workers.

Another interesting part is at the corner of the café, namely the five special seats which are made from cement pipes, which emphasise its industrial style. If you want to enjoy the view and scenery at the same time you enjoy the food, try to book earlier to get these reserve seats. As a kindly reminder, it is always full on weekends dinner hours.

HAVN Pizza with satay sauce (RM 28.00)

One of the specialties in this café is HAVN pizza. Why is it so special? It is a combination of Malaysian style satay sauce and Italian pizza. We found its taste is so pleasantly surprising as this was the first time we try this flavour of pizza.

German Pork Knuckle (RM70.00)

This might be the most expensive dishes among what we had ordered in a café! The pork knuckle’s skin was baked until crispy and the taste is a bit overly salty. It tastes like our Chinese roasted pork fillet. From my opinion, it is too expensive for us to have this just because its name has a “German”.

HAVN Cheese Burger (RM27.00)

Another speciality we had tried in HAVN was this cheese burger. It is the black charcoal burger coved by the cheese. So, it is recommended to those who like to eat cheese a lot. However, we found that the portion of the side dishes, which are the potato wedges, was too small. It made us disappointed since we had paid RM27.00 just for a burger.

This is the bill for seven-person food.

We were just riding on luck! We had a 30 percent discount as one of our friends’ father is the director of the café. So, we were escaped from paying a larger amount of bill. The prices of food here are generally high, however, we feel that it is worthy for us to have a fresh attempt and experience by having lunch in its gorgeous environment.
