In the dog days of summer, which dessert that first come to
your mind? The answer is definitely a bowl of shaved ice! At BaDa Bing, you can
enjoy shaved ice, Korean and Japanese style meals in one shot. The name of
‘bada bing’ has the meaning of something will happen effortlessly and
predictably. However, we feel that the word ‘bing’ is emphasising the specialty,
shaved ice, as ‘bing’ means ice in Chinese.
The atmosphere in the café is warming and it is a good place
for you to have a leisure and carefree afternoon. The whole space is decorated
by pendant light bulbs, creating a glittering visual.
I like decoration of this wall, I can tell that the café
operator is really put a lot of efforts on it. I bet that kids will like it a
lot.
Not only the interior design and atmosphere, the cover of
their menu was also attracted my attention. Other than this, the small ‘vase’
putting on each table is also full of DIY ideas creatively.
There is one page of BaDa Bing introduction on the first
page of the menu. It has given the clear understanding of the café to those who
has the very first visit to here. Their slogan ‘life is shiok, eat desserts
first’ is very impressive.
For chop and chips meals, Bada Bing provides various types
of side dishes for customers to pick from. The white rice is available here
that distinguish from other cafes. It is a mix of Western and Chinese that eat
rice together with the chicken chop.
GRILLED CHICKEN CHOP - with BLACK PEPPER and SWEET POTATO
(RM 16.90)
The three dishes we had ordered were served to our table
together. Due to this, the chicken chop was not hot enough. However, the
chicken chop with black pepper sauce is tasty and the price is quite
reasonable.
OKONOMIYAKI (RM12.90)
The Japanese okonomiyaki is full of bonito flakes on top and
the sauce pleasantly suits the pancake. Meanwhile, the ingredients inside of it
are rich of carrots, onion, cabbage and minced pork. The temperature for this
dish was just nice and easy for us to eat.
CHEESE FRIES (RM9.90)
The portion of the cheese fries was quite big, and it was
fully covered by cheese and mayonnaise! As a result, we were satisfactorily
full by enjoying a wonderful meal.
We are looking forward to
having a second trip to Bada Bing to try other dishes like the Korean hotpot
which is full of cheese, and also the dry spicy ramen. Moreover, we also failed to try the specialty ice desserts here as
we had a full stomach for this time.
