Futari Cafe

Are you looking for a place that you can relax after a week of work and reading at the same time? If so, you must have a visit to Futari Book Café.

The environment here is quiet and cozy, which is suitable for you to read while enjoying desserts. The music playing is icing on the cake that will make the Japanese music lovers like me feel enjoyable in this environment.

There is a shelf of books provided for you to read, although the quantity of the books is not considered as that much, it is enough for a person who likes reading to explore and spend an afternoon. Besides, the lower rack is specially prepared for the children considerably, placing the children’s books and some table games.
The shop assistant is quite friendly as she kindly reminded us that all the books on the shelves are available for us to read.

Come to the menu, although it is not printed nicely with colourful pictures and attractive design like other cafes, the list of desserts listed are tempting with their names. We were advised that each person need to order at least one food or drink to sit and read inside. It is quite reasonable as most of the customers will spend a long time to sit inside due to the relaxing environment. So, it is necessary to state a rule like this to ensure the shop owner’s profitability.

There is a corner placing some accessories and bags for sale. If you are interested, you also can buy them from the website, https://futaripersonalized.com.my/main.asp.

To our surprise, we got to find a Japanese book in Futari Book Store! It is rarely for us to discover book in Japanese language from other cafes.

It has inspired us from the book although we are not really expert in Japanese and only can roughly understand the general meaning of the story.

ICED KOREA CITRON TEA (RM8.90)
The taste of this citron tea is very fresh and initially we thought it would be not so nice as it is bitter but actually not. The bitterness has been eventually masked by the sweet and sour of grapefruit. It is worth the price as it can be tasted that it is using the real ingredients instead of adding sweetener.

WALL’S SET VANILLA WAFFLE (RM12.90)
We strongly recommend this waffle because it is really inspiring our appetite by it taste! Despite of the ice cream on the top, the waffle is crispy and delicious to eat together with the chocolate sauce and strawberries. It is quite a big portion for two persons although it is unable to be told by its look. The size of waffle also cut into the size that easy for the customer to eat.

In conclusion, Futari Café is a café that we highly recommend, and you must have a visit here if you never been. It is because other than the relaxing environment, the desserts they serve here also able to tickle your taste buds. Furthermore, Futari Cafe will be your good choice if you plan to spend your weekend at Johor Bahru.
