Roost Repurposed and Recycled Café

This café at first did not successfully caught our attention because the ground floor only seems to have a small counter and the shop does not seems visual appealing. We took a walk down the street, but all the shops seems to be packed, so we decided to enter into Roost café.

While we are ordering, we found out that there was a flight of stairs for customer to walk up. So basically, ground floor was for ordering and you have the option to choose to dine-in.

This is Roost café exterior view, ordering and payment counter. They serve salad, coffee and others. Currently, they have cancelled out the option of frozen yogurt.

A gentle reminder, please mind your step when you are making your way up as the stairs are pretty scary and few woods have begun to be unstable and is movable and steep.

You can choose to have your meal and chill here but its quite humid during the sunny afternoon.

In here, you can enjoy the cooling air-conditioner, and if the crowd was not that pack, you are basically able to study and work peacefully in here.

If you are someone who likes to ‘go green’, this will be a great place for you too! Roost Repurposed and Recycled café interior design including tables and chairs are made up of recycle materials such as newspaper and old beer crate.

If you look up, you will realise the lamp that the shop owner is using are made of newspaper.

The environment in this café is comfortable and cosy. If you are a selfie lover, you definitely will fall in love with this place. The fascinating design that looks like a huge antique bookshelf and a trolley chair is the most attracting among all and no one will miss the opportunity to add pictures and caption of them on their Instagram or Facebook. Here, the books are mostly from the nineties.

SAUSAGE BOWL (RM18.00), PASSIONFRUIT SHAKE (RM12.00)
Just in this one bowl, there is a delicious and perfectly season sausage with 2 bread, sautéed mushroom and a half-boiled egg. Most importantly, the bottom of the bowl is filled with mashed potato. We like it very much as the combination truly caught our taste bud!

Overall, other than the price, we are satisfied with the food therefore we would recommend this to any food enthusiast that are going after something different and special.
